Dallas, Texas. One desk, one phone number.

The person who would build your month, and what is not done here

You landed on a domain called fractionalcfonow.com, so it is fair to say why it exists. People go looking for a fractional CFO and keep finding service descriptions with nothing in their hands at the end. We built this one the other way round, with the work on the page first.

Why this site exists under this name

The name is simply what people are looking for, spelled out, and the job of the site is to answer it properly. That includes the answer an owner sometimes needs most, which is that this seat isn't what you need yet and here's the cheaper thing that is. You'll find that on the home page, below the monthly package, where it costs us the work.

Who is behind it

Steven Palmieri

Steven Palmieri, a tax and CFO practice in Dallas, Texas. Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas, and the phone number sits in the footer of every page. He is the one who would sit and read your month with you, and he is also the one who prepares the return that the year eventually lands on, which is the whole reason those two things stay together.

What this site is for

To answer one question all the way down, what a fractional CFO hands an owner each month, and then to offer the single next step that answer turns up. Nothing is gated. There's no download waiting behind an email address. The pages that talk owners out of hiring anybody are published alongside the rest.

Fractional CFO Now is the name on the door. The practice standing behind it is named above, and again at the foot of every page, so you always know who you would actually be talking to.

Where this desk stops

Everything this site describes is work a person may do without a license, and it is what happens here every month. An audit, a review, a compilation or an opinion on your statements under GAAP is a different matter, because Texas keeps those for licensed firms and there is no CPA license at this desk.

So if a lender or an investor has asked you for a signed report, you will hear that inside the first twenty minutes and leave with the name of a firm that can sign it. The rest of what is out of scope, payroll runs and IRS letters included, is written out on the disclosures page.

What people read next

Ask what actually happens on a first call

A first call runs about twenty minutes and it has three parts. What brought you, what state the books are actually in, and then a straight answer about whether this is the right desk for it. When it isn't, you get told which desk is, and that's the end of the call.

When it is the right fit, what you get is the closed month, the October number, and the return prepared by the same people. The call itself happens on a screen you already have open.

You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice.
